You did it – you booked your fine art portrait session! Next up is your personalized consultation where we will plan out everything related to your shoot, including the final results – your wall art.
But you’re not sure what kind of wall art is right for your home. Fear not – as a full service photographer, I am able to help guide you in your selections so they will fit in seamlessly with your home’s aesthetic. Quite honestly, I’m half photographer / half interior designer!
Whether your home is modern, traditional, eclectic, transitional, or somewhere in between – I have gorgeous pieces to suit your needs.
I’m Holly Lund, a child photographer in Monmouth County, NJ. I offer fine art portrait sessions for families & specialize in museum-grade, heirloom artwork for your home.
Framed Prints
A classic, if there ever was one. On the whole, framed prints will suit any home as it comes down to the style of the frame you choose.
Understated? Let’s go with a thin profile in either the wood finish or metal of your choice. Traditional yet maximalist? I recommend something from the Biltmore collection (yes, that Biltmore). French country? Plenty of options that have a rustic feel.
While there are many routes you can go down with framed prints, what doesn’t change between them is the quality – both of the print & the build.
My fine art prints are made of rich, textured paper & inks that are archival. The mat boards exceed the standards set by the Library of Congress & are the choice of conservationists worldwide. Rigorous tests guarantee that when properly cared for, your prints will last at least 200 years.
You will also receive museum acrylic to protect your image. This no-glare, shatter-resistant material is the best on the market. It provides 99% UV protection, ensuring your prints do not fade or yellow from being displayed. By contrast, the third best acrylic on the market only offers 66% UV protection; standard glass offers none.
Canvas
Canvas in an of itself may seem pretty straightforward, but I offer many different types of canvas!
To me, the benefit of choosing canvas over framed prints is that there is nothing between you & your image, really allowing yourself to be immersed in it.
Trust me – this is not the rough, pocketed canvas better suited for a drop cloth. You’ll be in love with the soft & supple material as soon as you see it!
Framed Canvas
This is my personal favorite canvas artwork I offer. I love the texture of the 100% cotton canvas – it is so fine & silky smooth! Again, you have your choice of frames to suite your style. It is incredibly lightweight & won’t ever sag.
Painted Canvas
Do you want to take your Framed Canvas up a notch to an amazing, extra brag-worthy piece? Go for my painted canvas. A skilled artist will paint over your Framed Canvas wall art with clear acrylic paint, following all of the shapes & contours to resemble a piece by one of the Old Masters.
Gallery Wrap Canvas
This more modern take on canvas has been widely popular over the last 20 years. Featuring the same build as the Framed Canvas, it is lightweight & has 2 inches of your image wrapped around the stretcher bars for a sleek look with depth.
Modern Canvas
The Modern Canvas is by far my clients’ most popular choice! Made in Italy, your HD printed canvas is mounted to a solid 6cm or 3cm panel that comes in over 40 options from maple to linen. The back features 3d molded hangers that are inserted into the panel, allowing for flush mounting against your walls.
Modern Acrylic
Featuring the same panel & hangers as the Modern Canvas, the Modern Acrylic takes your artwork one step further on the modern scale. Your photos will be printed on HD fine art paper with fine art inks & adhered seamlessly between the panel & 1/8 inch clear, matte acrylic. This anti-glare material removes reflective distractions so you can enjoy your photos as they should be.
Amalfi Artwork
Whenever someone sees an Amalfi Artwork for the first time, they are in amazement. They’ve never seen anything like it!
The Amalfi is my signature piece of artwork as it complements my vintage-modern photography style. The thin profile & fabric-wrapped panel make it a solid contemporary piece while the HD fine art print & handmade Amalfi paper mat tie your photos to history.
The Amalfi paper is handmade in Italy by artisans who have passed down their trade in small, family-driven paper mills since the Renaissance. Sometimes it’s even possible to spot their medieval seal subtly debossed on gorgeously textured surface!
Whichever artwork you choose, you will have beautiful heirloom pieces that you will be able to pass down in your family for centuries knowing that they are as beautiful & vibrant as the day you brought them home.
